Lift, Restore, and Heal

Love thy Neighbor

Lord, make your ways, my ways.
Make your thoughts, my thoughts.
Make my words and actions pleasing to you.

My job is not to judge.
My job is not to figure out if someone deserves something.
No. This is the occupation of the evil one.

My job is to lift the fallen.
To restore the broken, and to heal the hurting.
Yes. This is the work of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Yes, this is what He wants me to do as well.

Who am I to point out the sins of others?

Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and [a]by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how [b]can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Matthew 7:1-5

Do the scriptures not say this?

I want to turn from my ways of being a hypocrite.
Through you it can be done.
Heal my own eyes, my own mouth, my own heart, my own body and my own soul.

With you Lord, I will lift the fallen, restore the broken and heal the hurting.
