Scar tissue

My past isn't pretty. 

My memories haunt me.

I choose to hate myself. 

Hate myself for my faults. 

Aren't I forgiven?

Yes.

Then why do I scourge myself so?

The evil one taunts me.

he pushes me and laughs.

I cry out to Jesus.

Heal me.

Forgive me.

Love me.

And He does. 

Our scars from the past aren't the prettiest things. However, scar tissue is stronger than the original tissue and reminds us where we've been and how far we've come. 

Ordinary Lives Extraordinary Mission 

I don't like being reminded of the faults in my past but I know He has a plan. 

I love this quote because I am reminded that scar tissue is stronger than the original tissue. 

And that gives me hope.
