It's just a test

Idaho had an earthquake yesterday and everyone now thinks it's the end of the world.

Are we being tested?

Because I suck at tests. I've never been good at them.

Today I read:

"As gold in the furnace, he proved them,/ and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself."

Wisdom 3:6

But why now?

"Jesus turns to our questions of why—why this brokenness, why this darkness?—and says, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here.” “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.”

Does it really take an earthquake and an epidemic to get our attention? 

I continued to read....

"Those who trust in him shall understand truth,/ and the faithful shall abide with him in love;/ Because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,/ and his care is with his elect." 

Wisdom 3:9

This is not a test to bring fear. It's a test to realize our priorities. A test to embrace His love. 

"He rescues us from such great danger of death, and he will continue to rescue us; in him we have put our hope [that] he will also rescue us again." 1 Corinthians 1:10 

Use this time wisely. Don't race through the test. Use prayer for your answers. Keep the faith.
