Break the hardness of your heart

The Lord appeared to us in the past saying, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness." Jeremiah 31:3

"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."
 Psalm 118:1

This past week has been a hard week with accepting others and loving them when things don't go according to plan. It's hard to love what is working against us. However aren't we suppose to hate the sin and love the sinner? It's tough to do, but that is what is expected from us.

Christ loves us even when we refuse to love Him back by our careless actions and words. My heart longs to have that kind of love our Father has. Unconditional, endless, overflowing love.

Teach me, Oh Lord, your ways. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and the power to make others feel loved.

May this be my motivation for this week and grow to be no longer a motivation but simply natural to all my days.

"It is not how much we do,
but how much love we put in the doing.
It is not how much we give,
but how much love we put in the giving."
"If we really want to love, we must learn how to forgive."
"We can do no great things; only small things with great love."
"There is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives – the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize it. The poor you may have right in your own family. Find them. Love them."
