Nothing is Wasted

                                                              "Nothing Is Wasted"

The hurt that broke your heart
And left you trembling in the dark
Feeling lost and alone
Will tell you hope's a lie
But what if every tear you cry
Will seed the ground where joy will grow

And nothing is wasted
Nothing is wasted
In the hands of our Redeemer
Nothing is wasted

It's from the deepest wounds
That beauty finds a place to bloom
And you will see before the end
That every broken piece is
Gathered in the heart of Jesus
And what's lost will be found again

Nothing is wasted
Nothing is wasted
In the hands of our Redeemer
Nothing is wasted

From the ruins
From the ashes
Beauty will rise
From the wreckage
From the darkness
Glory will shine
Glory will shine

Nothing is wasted
Nothing is wasted
In the hands of our Redeemer
Nothing is wasted

Let's just say my day so far has been not of routine as it normally is. Nothing bad. Just not a typical mapped out day. I came into the kitchen this morning to find breakfast and this song was playing on our c-d player. I've heard it a thousand times. Trust me. I have. Yet, it spoke BLOG to me today for some reason. I looked up the lyrics. I looked up the artist. And yes, this is what I need to write about today.

Nothing is wasted.

My one unplanned day is not a waste. It's been a nice, relaxing change for once. I could negatively repeat that I have no grasp on my day or I could enjoy the surprises that will unwrap throughout the day.

If you're like me, you find yourself saying, "That was a waste" a lot. Really? Was "it" a waste? Or was "it" a blessing? Think about it. The times when we say this s when we "lose" our precious time.

Example: Taking a short cut which did nothing but send you through a neighborhood in Spokane. (True story.) Was the extra two minutes of going at a snail's pace a waste of time? No. Baby Jesus may have been protecting us from a car accident. Who knows! It's not a waste.

Don't go wasting your day by waiting for it to be wasted. Embrace your day, cease it! Nothing God makes is a mistake or an oops. He has a plan for each of us. It's in the hands of our Redeemer.
