Imitation Jesus

 If you've seen the movie the Passion or any other movie based on Christ's passion, you've probably said to yourself, "How could they choose Barabbas over Jesus?"
What we don't tell ourselves is we're the ones who choose Barabbas over and over. EVERY DAY.

Did you know that the meaning of the name Barabbas is "Son of the Father?" Two words..Imitation Jesus.

What do I mean by Imitation Jesus? I mean we choose what feels good to us rather than what is eternally good for us. How many times a day do you worship your iphone, your facebook page, your television, your starbucks, or dare I say your McDonalds? We "try" to exchange what is truly good for us for the material and pointless things in life. Therefore we choose Barabbas over Jesus.

Now are these material things bad? No. It's how we look at them and how much time we put into them.
So limit yourself. It's going to be hard but in the end it'll be worth choosing the TRUE SON of the FATHER!
