How do you weigh?

Picture a scale in your mind.

If one was to place a lie on the left and the truth on the right, would the scale be balanced? No!

You see, their is no happy middle between the two. We can not choose to both follow the truth and swallow a lie.

Just as a cat is not a dog, and a dog is not a cat, a lie will never be the honest truth.  The two do not equal or support each other.

We can not convince ourselves that we can do both and get away with it. Why? Because on our judgement day the Lord will decide if we lived to follow Him or to walk away from Him. We can not do both. Therefore the scale will never be level when weighing good verses bad.

Often we find ourselves absorbed in peer pressure. Their are times when we say "yes" when we know we should have said "no." We have to pick one or the other. I hope you and I will say "yes" to Jesus.

Choose your life's decisions carefully. Decide if you want to make or break the scale. Accept that the truth will dominate a filthy lie every time.

"We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgement." James 5:11-12
