Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

"In the morning let your first act be, to greet my Heart and to offer me your own. Whoever, breathes a sigh toward Me, draws me to Himself." Jesus to St. Matilda   

Breathe in those words.

"Just leave everything in the Sacred Heart and begin again with joy." St. Mother Teresa 

Breathe out.

Trust.  

Prayer for the Feast of the Sacred Heart

"Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, on this day You appeared to St. Margaret Mary and lamented the love which we continue to thwart from entering our hearts. Help us learn how to surrender ourselves completely to Your love, how to trust, how to have faith in Your promises. While other people have let us down, have betrayed our confidences, have wounded us deeply; You say that You love us with an everlasting love. Your love is not conditional, we cannot earn it nor lose it. It is a foundation on which we can depend, which we can build upon, and a force which all others shatter against. Your protection and tender solicitude are all we need to navigate our way through this life. Help us to depend upon Your goodness and allow You to have free rein in our lives, for You will what’s best for us. May Your Most Sacred Heart envelop and inflame us! Amen."
