Lift the veil

He lifted her veil,
a tear in their eyes.

Tears of joy.

That I do would last forever,
that love that would never fail.

Their love that would never die.

Forty-one years slowly went by.
But only to end too quickly.

Lives that feel broken are held in his hands.

Those years soaked in laughter,
those moments treasured and kept in her heart.

She can't keep from crying.

He too, misses her so.

That veil she was wearing,
had seen better days.

This veil though is waiting.
Waiting to be lifted once more.

Who knows how soon...
Earthly eyes will be greeted in heaven.

That veil will be lifted.

Close your eyes and wait for him to lift your sorrows and pain away.
