Clean heart

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for being jealous.

Jealous of what is not mine nor what I need.

In the end I only hurt myself.

Lord, help me to say, 'no' to this temptation. Especially in this season of Lent.

For if I say 'no' now, and choose to practice self control of body, mind, and spirit I will save myself through You, the troubles from doing further wrong.

Make me Lord, an instrument of your peace.

Help me to love like You.

I ask that I might swallow my pride and clothe myself in humility.

You, Jesus, are humble and loving. As well as your Mother, earthly father, St. Joseph, and all the saints..

May good come from fighting these temptations.

Make me new.
