Awesomeness Begins In Preschool

Awesomeness begins in preschool.

Here is a few reasons why...

#1. Kids say the funniest things

"Those are mmmmmnummms." Translated, minions. Referring to my Despicable Me band aid.

#2. They know how to compliment

"I like your earrings... Thanks!" I'm not wearing any though....

#3. They have a love for animals...especially those stuffed and those who are, dare I say, cats?

The two daddy cats were fighting over the mommy cat.

Two cats died when I was a baby cat...I mean baby.

#4. They still watch Toy Story!

"What's your favorite number?"
"Infinity and beyond!"

#5. Size matters

"You know Bailey? She just turned one!"
Me: "Wow! She is almost not a baby anymore!"
Girls: "She is still little though... She'd be pretty big if she was like 29..."

#6. Repetition and story telling combined...GENIUS!

I stepped on a needle! No, two needles! I mean three needles! I mean four needles!

#7. Super heroes got nothing on em'

I was stung by a bee in the snow...

#8. They like to whisper too

A little girl talking in a normal voice, took her hand, pressed it up against her face to whisper and said, "My mom is kind of funny like that."

#9. Bladder Control

They can hold their bladder for hours while demonstrating bizarre dance moves. And best part, they can suddenly NOT have to "go" when their friends are not in the bathroom.

#10. They spread the love

Through snot, slobber, boogers, and hugs!

#11. They Shake Things Off

No grudges held for more than two minutes. That's the way to be!

#12. Innocent sometimes guilty

How can you be mad at those smiling, sweet, little faces?
Even when they purposely sabotage the computer just because you're not smart enough to figure out how to reverse the settings because everything is upside down. Yeah, even when they test your patience and try to make you go insane, even then how can you stay irritated?

#13. Polite little people

How many times in a day do you remember to say "please" and "thank you"? Though half the time we have to remind these squirts to use their manners, they are learning that these magical words make you a more grateful person in life.

#14. Permanent smiles

Their little priceless grins instantly have me mark my face with a permanent smile. Not only on my face but on my heart. Wouldn't trade that for anything!

#15. The ability to laugh

These kids have certainly got the ability to laugh. Whether it be when something funny happens, when another child tells a joke, when an adult "goofs" up, or when they want to share and express their joy with you. It's contagious!

Last but not least...

#16. Hearts ready to give

If a child isn't sharing a toy with another kid then she is probably coloring a picture for a loved one. Perhaps, a friend, mom, dad or someone who came up in conversation. These kids want to give their love freely and openly. They want to share their hearts with everyone they come in contact with. They love because they want others to feel loved. Their little hearts rejoice in accepting others and making a new friend.

Yes, awesomeness does begin in preschool. Thank you Jesus, for these youngins and their way of being exactly who you want them to be!
