Look Up

Let me introduce you to some of our World's Top Women Romodels according to Google.

 Lady Gaga....

Beyonce - Woman of Worth?

 Taylor Swift - "Fearless"

Justin Bieber (No lie. He came up. Sad day. I laughed. HARD.)

Miley Cyrus - Desperate and attention thirsty.

 Tracy Anderson - Fit

Wonder Woman - Super powers to accomplish this and that.
Amelia Earhart - Had a dream and pursued it.

Princess Cinderella - Found the guy & got married.

 Marilyn Monroe - Glamorous

Oprah Winfrey - Living large on lots and lots of cash.

This honestly hurts my heart.

These are the women, women today look to, compare themselves to, model after, and wish to be like...

How we live our lives effects who we are. Seriously, what we watch on t.v. and listen to on the radio make up part of who we are.

To want to be as skinny and fit as the computer generated thing on People magazine is typically wished for by women insecure about themselves.

Ladies! Stop idolizing these "perfect" women. You and I were not made to make ourselves as what we believe to see as beautiful.

If we took the time to look beyond the flawless skin, toned abs, pristine home, amazing boy friend, and piles and piles of money, we just might see that these women are not perfect. In fact, far, far from it.

It's not about the money, money, money. It's not as easy breezy to be a cover girl. Wipe that ridiculous poker smirk off your face. Put your dreams ahead of you. Be happy in your own body.

You can do something big and exciting with your life. You don't need to throw away your soul to get those around you to like you. Don't wait for some guy to ride up on a horse to save you. Your worth more than cheap clothing and extensions. Plastic surgery isn't going to lift anything. Money can only buy so little happiness. Don't live everyday to try and be better than the people around you.
You might see other woman appearing to be happy and bold. (Fearless if I may say so...)They're truly not. Something deep down is yearning for more.

Yes, this is why my heart breaks. It breaks because not one woman seems to be content anymore. We are searching and searching... but for all the WRONG things.

What if we turned out priorities around? If we made clear our vision of ourselves and other women?

Beautiful women, I ask you, what would happen if we strive to be like these women? :

Mary, our Mother - Who did God's will

St. Monica - Faithful in prayer

Mother Teresa - Fearless. Was not afraid to use her hands

St. Maria Goretti - Did not give into temptation

St. Clare - Determined to do everything for the glory of God

St. Gemma Galgani - offered all her sufferings to the Lord

Mary Magdalene - Put her past behind her and followed Jesus

St. Agnes - Kept her virginity

Joan of Arc - Was burned for her beliefs

Maybe this is too "Jesus Freaky" for you. Not cool. Not "In" enough.

Fine.

But if I had to choose between the two types of women I'd choose the Women of God.

As a Woman of God you can't go wrong. Your reward is in Him. And in HIM alone. '

So, will YOU answer the call He is calling you for? Will you discover your worth in God's eyes?

I am willing to try.

Look up to those who look up to God.
