Hour by hour

Hour by hour. What do I mean?

Matthew Kelly encouraged me through his Lenten reflection, to pray for someone at the beginning of every hour. To offer each moment of that hour for someone in need of prayer.

He suggested setting a timer as a reminder.

Yesterday I gave this practice a try. (I actually didn't set a timer but surprisingly didn't need one.)

In each passing hour I'd offer what I was doing for someone in need of prayer.

I was peaceful throughout my day. The "work" I did was not overwhelming because I was offering it as a prayer.

"Christianity is incredibly practical. It is a beautifully human invitation to experience the divine.
For a Christian, everything is a prayer."

Matthew Kelly - Resisting Happiness

Jesus, let I live, hour by hour. Let I love, hour by hour. Let I pray, hour by hour. Amen!
