Modesty Isn't

It's that time of year again...

Pools are open, (sniffle... I miss my pool) the river is waiting, and everyone wants to get tan.

It's the season where clothes start to get optional.

Swimming suits are getting tinier and tinier. Shorts are getting shorter and shorter. Shirts hardly cover anything.

But like I said, this time of year women think dressing themselves is optional.

Why?

Read the blog article below.

The truth about modesty and what it isn't.

Modesty isn't self seeking. In fact it seeks nothing at all.

It's not hot. Though that doesn't make it uncool, it makes it attractive.

And there is nothing more attractive than modesty.

Modest words, modest actions and modest dress.

I want to be modest.

"As Christian women, every one of us is called to maintain a purity and dignity in the way we dress that points others to Christ."

"We aren't called to draw attention to ourselves; we are called to draw attention to God."

So ladies, I know swimmy suits and cute modest clothing are hard to find but it is so worth searching & wearing.

Here are three guidelines to modesty:

  1. If you have trouble getting in or our of it, it is probably not modest.
  2. If you have to be careful when you sit or bend over, it is probably not modest.
  3. If people look at your body before they look at your face, it is probably not modest.
Modest isn't hottest. It's beautiful.
