Sacred Heart of Jesus

Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

It is a beautiful day to hold dear and a beautiful reminder to behold His Sacred Heart!

O my beloved and ever-merciful Jesus,

I adore Thee and I offer Thee all the love and desire of my heart.

The desire I offer Thee is the very one Thou Thyself hast given me:

the desire for holiness, that is for union with Thee.

Unite me to Thyself:

my heart to Thy Heart,

my soul to Thy Soul,

all that I am to all that Thou art.

This was the prayer Fr. Joseph Lustig chose to share in the program for his Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving.

Again, another beautiful reminder of His Sacred Heart.

"My heart to Thy Heart, my soul to Thy Soul,

Let the peace of Christ control your hearts. Colossians 3:17

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 

Peace I leave with you: my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled: nor let it be afraid. John 14:27 

Prayer of Reparation for Offenses Made Against the Sacred Heart 

O merciful Jesus, my King and my God, I worship You. 

O Blessed Mother. Mary Immaculate, I cherish you.

For those who offer you insult, I offer you praise.

For those who offer you mocking, I offer you honor.

For those who offer you disbelief, I offer you trust.

For those who offer you hate, I offer you love.

For those who offer you cursing, I offer you blessing.

For those who offer you ridicule, I offer you loving gazes.

For those who offer you blasphemy. I offer you adoration.

For those who offer you rebellion, I offer you obedience. 

For those who offer you indifference, I offer you devotion.

For those who offer you obstinate pride, I offer you a contrite heart.

For those who offer you scorn, I offer you fidelity.

Kind Jesus have mercy; Ever Virgin Mary, pray for us. Forgive them Lord for they know not what they are doing. Soften the hearts of those who offend you, that they may come to know you and love you as you deserve. Make my heart more fervent so I may pray without ceasing for the conversion and salvation of souls. Amen.
