Part of Your World

I was inspired for two reasons to write this particular blog.

1. By my friend's Instagram picture in Hawaii, imitating the little mermaid. Why? Because the caption was part of your world. I immediately started singing...

And 2. Because this past weekend in conversation my friends and I discussed the exterior and interior of a person. Meaning a person can seem perfect from an outsider's point of view when really we're all just simply trying.

SO bare with me as we sing, pause, and break down each phrase.
(This calls for different colored font) :)
Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has everything?

Appearances aren't always what the appear to be...no matter how much we may "have".
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin' around here you'd think
Sure
She's got everything

Those who appear to have everything seem to still be searching...
I've got gadgets and gizmos of plenty
I've got whose-its and whats-its galore
You want thingamabobs?
I got twenty
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more

Always more...
I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancin'
Walkin' around on those—what do ya' call 'em?—oh, feet.

Minus the part about feet, I thought of heaven when singing this.
Flippin' your fins you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'
Strollin' along down a—what's that word again?–street.

Can't you visualize heaven this way?
Up where they walk
Up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free
Wish I could be
Part of that world

All day in the SON
Part of that world....

And this is where I try to tie the two together...

Today is All Saints Day. We are called to be saints. That is what we were created to be.

How can we, how can I, in what ways can I, become a saint?

Growing in holiness. Wanting holiness. Desiring holiness.

Desiring heaven.

Do we want to be part of that world? Or stay a part of this world?

We make our decisions in this world. Decisions to be merciful or judging. Loving or angry. Saints or to stay where we are.

I want to be in the Son and part of His world in heaven.

Amen?

Happy All Saints Day!
