Our autobiography

I almost didn't watch this. However, It did my heart good to do so.

I ask that you take the time to watch and listen.

It's going to change your view of holy week, your view of Triduum, your way of looking at the crucified Jesus hanging on the cross and also your view of Easter.

To our everlasting shame, yes, we helped write the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

When we gossip, smirk, lie, put others down and choose sin to avoid the Father's love for us, we help author the saddest story in the history of the world.

The crucifix is a sign of our shame, but it is also a symbol of hope.

Like Fr. Mike said, "I love it and I hate it."

But though the saddest story weighs heavy on each of our hearts, we are given hope in the greatest love story ever told.

We are reminded of our sin, but we are given hope for the Resurrection that comes Easter Sunday.

Hope that all of our sin, all of our yuck, all that is keeping us from God, has been transformed through the crucifixion of His Son so that we will be freely given the gift of hope and new life through the Resurrection.

A sign of our shame and a symbol of hope.
