Loneliness

How is it that the person who is loved by more people than she can count can feel so alone?

It's because loneliness is real.

We all have experienced it, including the great saints, like Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa felt no affirmation, nothing from the Lord, yet she persevered. She knew He was there, even though for fifty years it felt like He abandoned her.

There are so many ways we can feel abandoned and alone. Loneliness comes in different shapes and forms.

We not only feel alone among strangers but in our burdens, in our families, and in our circle of friends.

Loneliness isn't cured by surrounding one's self in a sea of people. Loneliness is a healing process.
It's a longing for healing.

And so I pray for those who feel lonely, for those who have lost someone, or found no one to grieve with them, no one to laugh with them, no one to be with them.

I pray for all of us who have experienced the burden of loneliness and may we come together in our crosses and loss. For His greater glory!

I wanted to share this note from Sheri Rose Shepherd:

My Princess.... You're Never Alone

You never need to hold on to anyone out of fear of being alone, My precious princess. I am with you wherever you are. I am the friend who walks in when the world walks out. I created you to have strong relationships, My love, and I see your desire to be close to someone. If you will seek Me first and come to Me with your wants and needs, I will choose your friends for you. I also will bless those friendships abundantly. Don'y settle for less than My best just to fill your schedule with people to see and places to go. I want to reach you with the reality of My presence in you first, and then you will be ready for real relationships that are orchestrated by Me.

Love, Your King and your Best Friend

"And be sure of this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20
