What did Mary do?

She thought outside of herself in her 'yes' her 'fiat' to God to do His will rather than her own. Again 'fiat' meaning, let it be.

She placed her trust and faith in God's hands of the unknown future

"By waiting and by calm you shall be saved,/ in quiet and in trust your trust lies." Is 30:15

When her son was captured, beaten, and crucified she swallowed hard and had to let it be because again it was the Father's will.

"Thy kingdom come, thy will be done."

Understanding his passion and death is beyond us all, yet she surrounded her will to the Lord.

"The Lord himself will fight for you; you have only to keep still." Ex 14:14

Mary, my mother, help me to keep still. Help me to "be still and know your son is God." Psalm 46:10
